We tell the stories of art activists and how they defended the community, we keep our histories alive and pass the baton on.

Our mascot Anansi, legendary Ghanaian“guardian of all stories”, brings laughter as a form of resistance to adverse times. Cartoonist Danny F. curates and responds to works by HCDA artist, Tony Hall, in a Then + Now exhibition at The Vortex. Artists push boundaries, transforming Gillett Square and other community spaces into indoor/outdoor exhibitions. Activities include interactive art, workshops, play areas, talks, films, music and comedy. People of all ages from across the borough come together to share art and heritage at venues in Dalston, E8.
